A Lover’s Eclipse
The sun and moon are lovers,
Who rarely ever meet.
The moon’s love a soft glow,
The sun’s a blazing heat.
The sun sends moon love letters,
Written in the clouds.
It can take awhile to reach her,
Passing through star crowds.
The nights that she receives them,
She’s a full moon in sky.
She sends a gentle message,
To the planets passing by.
They memorize her words,
And recite them to the sun.
He listens with his heart,
Until her words are done.
Blissful moments when they pass,
He stays focused on her lips.
His time with her is fleeting,
Their love casts an eclipse.
