I love this grateful season,

That reminds us we are blessed.

I pray you will enjoy it,

And don’t let it make you stressed.

There’s more that I’ve been given,

Than words could ever say.

Though here are a few things,

I’m thankful for today.

I’m thankful for my Daddy,

Who set my life in motion.

I’m thankful for my husband,

For his service and devotion.

I’m thankful for my babies,

They are my whole heart.

I’m thankful for my sisters, in-laws,

And family that’s apart.

I’m thankful for my freedom,

For this country I call mine.

I’m thankful for all churches,

Who teach of God’s design.

I’m thankful for our military,

One’s here and one’s away.

I’m thankful for their valor,

And for the price they pay.

I’m thankful for my dogs,

For their loyalty and love.

I’m thankful for my Father,

For His guidance up above.

I’m thankful for my Savior,

Who took away my sin.

I’m thankful for the knowledge,

That through His love I win.

I’m thankful for my friends,

For this gift of writing too.

To the person who is reading this,

I’ll thank God today for you.

All my love,

Someone Broken Like Me In days long ago, My love used to flow. I would gift it away, A high cost to pay. Life’s beaten me down. I’m broken and bound. Afraid to be hurt, I’m braced and alert. ~ I’m not

I am from a state of sadness, an era of abuse, and eyes filled with fear. I’ve journeyed to forgiveness, a state of happiness, and vision that is clear. I’ve turmoiled in anger, a state of regret, and
