Happy Thanksgiving
The turkey’s in the oven,
Sweet potatoes in a pot.
Deviled eggs are in the fridge,
Chocolate pie is getting hot.
Salad with sliced almonds,
Dressing made from scratch.
Fried onions in green beans,
And cookies by the batch.
Dishes line the counters,
There’s punch inside a bowl.
You’re standing in the kitchen,
And snacking on a roll.
Looking at your family,
Awaiting this grand meal.
You cannot help but smile,
For all the love you feel.
You gather all together,
Encased in this aroma.
Giving thanks for blessings,
Before the turkey coma.
Today’s a day for family,
Be grateful and forgiving.
Enjoy your day, my friends.
Happiest Thanksgiving!
I do not “have” to work today my friends, I “get” to work today. It it a blessing. I’m thankful to have the opportunity to greet those entering the emergency room, who are feeling badly, with a warm smile behind a mask. I pray to interact with everyone in patience, understanding, sympathy, and love. I am grateful to have a job. I am grateful for my families love and understanding, for their willingness to hold our little thanksgiving on Sunday when I am off. I’m grateful for my oldest daughter, for her talent in makeup, and her willingness to get up at 4am to do mine for work, like I’m the child and she’s the parent 😆I’m so thankful for my husband, for his dedication to our family, all his hard work away from home and here. I’m grateful for my son, for his kind obedience, thoughtful nature, and love. I’m thankful for the baby, who is 7 but will forever be the baby. I’m grateful for her precious love for me that consumes her. I’m grateful she still needs me at night to feel safe. I’m thankful for my fur babies, especially my sweet Ella, who cries out each day when I come home from my shift in joy. I’m thankful for my Father and Savior, who love me unconditionally despite all the stupid things I do. I’m grateful for my family who live far away, my friends scattered across the states, my work family, home, and this beautiful life God has gifted me. I pray you each have the warmest thanksgiving with your loves. I pray you thank God today for His vast blessings upon you. I pray you feel loved. Know, I’m thankful for you and I love you.
All my love,
~Kat
