Heartaches Game

If you ask me for my heart love,

I’ll hold it out in shame.

It cracked as it expanded,

Playing heartache’s game.

And even though it’s broken,

There’s beauty in each crack.

It continued to expand,

When love would not come back.

So, take it if you must love,

I won’t hold it back from you.

Just remember when you grasp it,

All that it’s been though.
